Penalty Play (Power Play, #3)Penalty Play by Lynda Aicher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

When I requested this book, im not going to lie… my first thought was “oh yummy, a sexy hockey player”. The deeper into the book I read, the deeper the actual story became. Not only was this a super sexy read but a story about redemption, second and third chances and personal growth.
The author did an unbelievable job of developing not only the main characters, but most of the secondary ones as well. I connected with Henrik and Jacqui on a very personal level. They ran me through my gamut of emotions.. I laughed, blushed and even cried a bit. At the end, when all was said and done, I was completely in love with Henrik.
The plot of the story was well laid out and easy to get sucked into. In my opinion, that is one factor that distinguishes a good book from a great one; the ability to let you melt into the story and close off the world around you. The author was spot on this. This was my first book by Lynda Aicher but immediately after reading it, I went straight away to look for more.
I loved it! 5*****wicked good stars
