**Review** Ryker by Harper Bentley

Ryker by Harper Bentley

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Ryker Powers was the biggest prick I’d ever met.

He was also my biggest mistake.

He’d taken what he wanted then left, and I detested him for it. Not that the jerk had cared to stick around long enough to know how I felt.

Everyone thought he was a perfect gentleman with all his quiet intensity but I knew better.

I knew he had a filthy mouth. That he liked things dirty.

He may have had people fooled into thinking he was a nice guy but I knew exactly who he was.

He was a bad boy who’d ask for a light from the devil himself.

And I wanted to see him burn.

Until I realized—to my utter horror—that what I really wanted was him.

Who was going to get burned now?

My Review

Finally!!! Ryker is here!!

This book follows Ryker, 3rd in birth order of the Powers boys. You can read this as a stand alone, but I suggest the series just because I love these boys so so much. I really thought this book, based on the girl “Nikki” mentioned in Loch’s book, was going to be about here. But it wasn’t. This book is about Frankie and is entirely her POV up until the very end. This is the only thing that saddens me because I would LOVE nothing more than more from the Power’s boys.

Ryker is a wrestler, and in the eyes of most, an alleged manwhore. He is tall, dark and brooding. Frankie has been in love with him for 2 years, even though they have never actually met. One night stand later basically ruins her for anyone else….and him as well. However, she was not part of his “plan” so true to Ryker form, he sort of screws it up but quickly realizes the error in his ways.

All in all this was a good story. I started and finished in one day so it is a light, quick little read.
I love Harper’s books and can’t wait for more 🙂
