My life is a secret.
His life is dangerous.
We’re both stubborn, calculating, and controlling.
Mark Dixon doesn’t know what he’s getting into. He doesn’t know his games could cost us our lives. I have to do what is necessary to keep us alive, and that means guarding my heart.
But I know I’m defenseless against him, and in the end, he’ll force me to surrender.
I mean, really what can I say….Corinne Michaels knocked it out of the park with this one. First, my favorite and thank you so much, but this was NOT a cliffy. I remember when I read Consolation and got to the end….I almost threw my damn kindle at that ending. So I was so hesitant with this because I was like, I see you Ms. Michaels, torturing us readers!! But, turns out, she LOVES us and this is not a cliffy, and an awesome HEA.
I loved Mark. I mean, I loved him in all the books. He’s such a smart ass…clever little fella how could you not. And when he meets Charlie, he’s a goner. And I loved that. I loved the banter between these two. The sexual chemistry was off the charts. And the way Mark kept trying to guess Charlie’s real name? Priceless. Especially when he actually get’s it right once, but Charlie doesn’t even flinch to let him know he’s right.
You learn more about Aaron’s year in captivity and some more background around all the events that are occurring basically towards this group of Seals. I was quite surprised at the actual ending to that. But so happy to see everyone happy in the end.
