My Review

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

One of my favorite shows comes on HGTV in the form of Property Brothers. I absolutely LOVE those guys! So when I saw the opportunity to read a book based on brothers who are in the renovation/construction/building business? Heck ya jumped on that!

This book introduces us to all the Pierce Brothers. They have been estranged for several years, Caleb choosing to stay at home with his father and work in the family business while the other two, went off to do their own thing. However, when their father dies, he leaves the business to all of them, in that they ALL have to work together AND make a profit and oh, by the way, LIVE in the same house for a year. Dad was either an ass for forcing this on them, or thought this was the only way they would ever begin to rebuild their fractured relationships.

This is the first in this series and focuses on Caleb. I, personally, really liked Caleb. There really wasn’t anything about him I can knock. To me…he was perfect. Morgan, however? My feelings for her are just…meh. I think she lost me when she worked her ways in a manipulating way to ensure that Caleb would work for her client exclusively. After than, even though these two were hot for each other, I just found myself not caring about her :/

But the story itself, all the other characters were great and I cannot wait for the next in this series!
