“…it’s a perfect mix of sport and sexiness the chemistry between the two main characters is off the chain it’s like the first half of the book is foreplay then BOOM seriously is there nothing this woman can’t do and do well.” ~Lisa W.
“…it was everything I ever wanted in a sports romance and it was hot. …I have a new goalie that I’m in love with” ~Jackie W.
“I devoured this book yesterday…… RUSH by Nicole Edwards is a MUST read !!!!! You are going to LOVE Kingston and Ellie !!!!!!” ~H.P. Davenport“Well, Nicole you did it again. Loved Rush and Ellie that women is amazing. I cannot wait for more.” ~Kathy A.
Admittedly, I couldn’t let go of some of my key players, no matter how much of a disgrace they’ve been to the team. But I’ve got my eye on one of them in particular right now. Kingston Rush, a.k.a. Mount Rushmore.
Here’s a guy who was the league’s top goalie two years ago, with three Vezina Trophies under his belt. Quite frankly, he’s a beast and a huge asset to this team—when he’s on his game, that is—so I’m hoping a little extra attention might go a long way.
Characters – Kingston (Mount Rushmore) Rush was on top of the world, winning the Stanley Cup championship as the “Goalie God” of the Austin Arrows. Lately though, the team has been having a rough couple of years – landing ALL the way down at number 30… dead last. Add to that some random chick spouting lies to the media about him and his life is just looking worse all the time.
Ellie – co owner of The Penalty Box bar and sister of Spencer “Optimus” Kaufman, the beloved Captain of the Austin Arrows and best friend of one Kingston Rush. (Can you see where this is headed?)
Story – the story begins after the fall from grace of the mighty Austin Arrows, Stanley Cup champions. They have now had two horrible seasons coming in last place and the owner, Phoenix (from A Million Tiny Pieces) is ready to bust some heads. He and the the coach, PR person and legal counsel have devised a plan to get the team back on track but it involves working on each individual member of the team – starting with Kingston. I wont give away any spoilers but its complicated and wonderful and written as only Nicole Edwards can write it from here on out. I loved it!
Absolutely 5***** WickedGoodStars for Rush: The Season by Nicole Edwards!
Side note: Nothing says you must read A Million Tiny Pieces before you read this book, but I really think you would enjoy Rush more (no pun intended) if you did. You would understand the relationship with Phoenix, Tarik and Mia and how they came to be. If you dont and go back to read it later, it will be spoiled for you.
