About The Book

sywm-amazonFrom New York Times Bestseller, Corinne Michaels, comes a new friends to lovers standalone romance.

There’s no way I’ll fall for Wyatt Hennington.

He can keep his Southern drawl, irresistible smile, and those pick up lines all to himself. It’s bad enough that I made the mistake of sleeping with him once. It will never happen again. I don’t want nor need some cowboy complicating my life.

But I don’t always get what I want.

Whether I like it or not, our lives are intertwined. Trying to keep him out of my heart is futile. He’ll find every loophole and embed himself there.

The problem is—I don’t know if he even loves me. And when the ground crumbles beneath us and our world shatters, I’ll finally know if he truly wants me or if we are only fooling ourselves . . .

Review

And my heart broke. I should know better than to think my emotions would not be trampled on with a Corinne Michaels book. But maybe that’s why I read them? Because she writes the most wonderful stories, with heartache, heartbreak and healing.

Wyatt and Angie, both jaded when it comes to relationships. Both seemingly happy with the way their lives have been going. These two meet, have some serious HOT chemistry, and Wyatt is done for. No other woman has ever made him want to change his ways. He’s never brought another woman home to his bed, or had them stay the night. He’s played the field, but never came close to settling down. Partly because he thought he was in love with his best friend. But these two don’t live anywhere near each other, and no contact was made after their affair. Until, well, fate steps in and forces their hands. Wyatt is good man, who loves and cares for those close to him and will do what he feels he has to to take care of his. But he also loves Angie. These two come back together and build their relationship and it’s sweet, touching and heartbreaking. The pain and agony these two endure-I can’t even imagine and I hated the way Wyatt reacted but I did understand the aftermath of such an event.

And so, when he realizes his mistakes, realizes what he needs to do he goes after it and OMG can I please have me a Wyatt? I loved him HARD!

This was one of my favorite books by Corinne by far!

Say you love me to my face
I need it more than your embrace
Just say you want me, that’s all it takes
Heart’s getting torn from your mistakes

‘Cause I don’t wanna fall in love
If you don’t wanna try,
But all that I’ve been thinking of
Is maybe that you might
Baby it looks as though we’re running out of words to say
And love’s floating away

Just say you love me, just for today
And don’t give me time ’cause that’s not the same
Want to feel burning flames when you say my name
Want to feel passion flow into my bones
Like blood through my veins
